On October 19, 2021, the Central Bank of Russia issued commemorative coins “Masha and the Bear” from the “Russian (Soviet) Animation” series made of precious and non-precious metals.
According to a press release from the Central Bank, color-coated silver coins with a face value of 3 rubles, as well as base metal coins with a face value of 25 rubles, with and without color coating, will be issued.
On the reverse side of the silver coins there will be a color image of the characters of “Masha and the Bear” against the background of a relief image of the Bear’s house. At the top there will be a colored inscription: “Masha and the Bear,” writes TASS.
The circulation of silver coins will be 7,000 pieces, the mass of pure precious metal is 31.1 grams.
The reverse of coins made of base metals will be in two versions. On one coin “Masha and the Bear” there will be a relief image of characters from “Masha and the Bear” in the Bear’s house. At the top will be written “Masha and the Bear.”
Another color-coated coin will have a color image of the characters from the animation against the background of a relief image of the Bear’s house. At the top is written: “Masha and the Bear.”
The circulation of coins with a face value of 25 rubles will be 850,000 pieces, with a face value of 25 rubles with a color coating – 150,000 pieces, and the mass of pure precious metal will be 31.1 grams.
These coins are legal tender on the territory of the Russian Federation and must be accepted at face value for all types of payments without any restrictions, recalled the Bank of Russia.
